Our chickens live the free range lifestyle as much as possible. We believe in trying to give them a natural life without artificial lights to boost production and letting them hunt their own protein powered snacks! There’s something special about letting a chicken be a chicken.

A sweet Maran whose outer toes grew curved and flat. As a chick, her wing feathers had a white tip.

Bruce
From Duke’s Yard Homestead is Bruce, a friendly, classically handsome rooster who happy cares for his girls, even when they make extra work when they wander off and call for his escort.

Elvis
Suspected to be a buff brahma bantam, Elvis is a great watcher of the skies. He sounds the alarms and makes sure all the ladies get to safety before he heads for cover. Not a fan of cuddles and prone to panic.
